Most of us think that we can’t earn money on our own. We need someone to “give” us a job. They aren’t giving us anything. Our employers are acting in their own interest when they hire us. They ‘buy’ us for a certain price, our wages, and ‘sell’ our services in the marketplace for a lot more.

When I was a young man just starting out as a professional pilot, I flew for W. C. DeArman, one of the richest men in Houston.
